| Long-Term Disability Insurance Summary | Details All regular or fixed-term full-time employees are eligible for this benefit. Coverage will be effective on the first day of the fourth month following the date of hire. This coverage replaces 60 percent of basic monthly earnings (after an initial disability of 90 continuous days) to a monthly maximum benefit of $5,000 subject to offset by other income. Rensselaer pays 100 percent of the cost of the premium. At time of eligibility or during an open enrollment period, current or new participants may buy additional coverage to increase the benefit to 66 2/3 percent of basic monthly earnings to a maximum benefit of $7,500. |
