Assistant Professor


Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Rensselaer County four year undergraduate and graduate education institution, seeks an Assistant Professor.


JOB DUTIES: Tenure track Assistant Professor position. Topics of interest include (a) energy conversion, transport and storage; and (b) controls, automation and advanced manufacturing. Successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain internationally recognized funded interdisciplinary research programs in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, to actively contribute to the core undergraduate and graduate teaching mission of the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering (MANE) and to engage in Department, institute and professional service activities.


JOB REQUIREMENTS: Earned Ph.D. (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mechanical, Aerospace or closely related Science / Engineering fields. Candidates must demonstrate, through accomplishments, promise of future distinction in scholarship and education.
