Department of Labor Updates Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Regulations
The U.S. Department of Labor recently updated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations. Specifically, the tests to determine whether "white collar" employees are exempt or non-exempt from receiving overtime pay.
While the change has had minimal impact on the classification of positions at Rensselaer, the Division of Human Resources continues to review the regulations and audit positions as necessary.
