Construction of the biotechnology and interdisciplinary studies research center is first phase of Rensselaer’s South Campus Development Project in Troy.
The new Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies at Rensselaer will rank among the world’s most advanced research facilities.

The center is transformational for Rensselaer; it provides the university with tremendous impetus to achieve an exponential increase in research activity. It will be a place to house Rensselaer faculty and researchers engaged in interdisciplinary research, and host world-class programs and symposia.

This building will be an advanced, high-technology facility focused on the application of engineering and the physical and information sciences to the life sciences.

The 218,000 square-foot facility will be constructed on 15th Street, adjacent to the George M. Low Center for Industrial Innovation. (More images here)
