Rensselaer's Core Values

· More than 900 members of the Rensselaer community stood in line for as long as seven hours to give blood on Tuesday, September 11th and one student convinced Price Chopper to donate 200 pounds of food and 50 gallons of juice after the campus closed. This reflects what we are and what we expect those who join our community to become.

· There have been incidents of some members of the Rensselaer community harassing or threatening other members of our community, not because of anything that they have done but on the belief, which is often mistaken, that the person they are harassing belongs to the same group as individuals suspected of involvement in the events of September 11th. This is not what we consider to be the Rensselaer spirit, and find it unacceptable.

The core values are very simple as they apply to the present situation:

-We judge people by their performance
-We help each other with the wor
-We accept people for who they are
