Recommendations to the Diversity Committee from the Campus Life
Subcommittee

Hire consultant to develop campus climate assessment tools for faculty,
staff and students.
Responsibility of Provost and Faculty Senate, VP Human Resources, VP
Student Life and Student Senate. Coordinated through the Campus
Climate Subcommittee

Seek further description of sexual harassment, as currently being
experienced, as part of the campus climate assessment
Responsibility of Campus Climate Subcommittee and consultants

Ensure that all members of the campus have a copy of the Institute
policy on sexual harassment
Responsibility of the President's Office (consider an appropriate event to
publicize the importance of the issue)

Incorporate the sexual harassment policy, including procedures for
reporting, into the Faculty Handbook, Student Handbook and the Staff
Handbook
Responsibility of the Provost and Faculty Senate, VP Human Resources,
VP Student Life and Student Senate

All first year experience programs must include discussions and
exercises emphasizing the nature and impact of sexual harassment
Responsibility of Provost, Dean of First Year Experience and VP Human
Resources

Include information concerning sexual harassment in all leadership
courses
Responsibility of schools teaching these course and the Archer Center

Review results of the campus climate assessment and make additional
recommendations
