Bachelor of Science Curriculum
* A Core of 38 Credits in Science:
Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics.
* A Concentration of 24 Credits in a Science Discipline:
Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, Physics.
* A Guided Selection of 20 credits in Environmentally Relevant Courses in Humanities and Social Sciences:
For example: Introduction to Environmental Studies, Environmental Philosophy, Environmental Economics,
Environmental Politics and Policy, Environmental Health, Natural Resource Economics.
* A Group of Interdisciplinary Courses and Seminars (14 credits):
First Year Environmental Seminar I & II, Global Environmenatl Change, One Mile on the Hudson River I,
Rhetoric of Nature and the Environment.
* Unrestricted Electives (28 credits):
Any courses from the Schools of Architecture, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management or
Science.
* An Intensive Environmental Experience:
For example: summer research, internship with a government agency or with a business, a wilderness experience, or a
project with a not-for-profit group like the Nature Conservancy.
