What is the Women at Rensselaer Mentor Program?

The purpose of the Women at Rensselaer Mentor Program is to assist first-year women students in making a smooth transition to Rensselaer by pairing them with an upper class woman student in the same or related major who has already made the transition and who is familiar with the systems and programs at Rensselaer.

Monthly social activities provide an avenue for mentor program participants to connect in an informal setting that allows them to have fun, network, share information and experiences, and make new friends.

Professional development workshops teach skills like budgeting, financial investing, choosing a professional wardrobe on a tight budget, and the do’s and don’ts of professional networking.

Opportunities exist to network with local professional women in engineering, science and technology.
