Today we again returned to looking at language conventions and how they establish a character for the website. I had you get together in a group to rewrite pages on existing websites to accommodate a new audience. Here's what you could have done:

• Rewrite a page of the Car Talk website to appeal to an audience that is only interested in finding information about fixing their cars.

• Look at The Carla Sinclair Channel. Rewrite it to appeal to a group of Generation X white males.

• Look at the Anxiety-Panic Internet Source. Rewrite a page as if it were the page for Dr. Frasier Crane's radio show.

• Look at the Environmental Health Clearinghouse. Rewrite a page for an audience similar to the Car Talk audience, in this case though, they want a humorous look at environmental health information.

  Look at Angry.org. Write a page for a new site, "Happy.org".
