Career Highlights:
Bob Lafleur joined the faculty in 1952 and retired in 1993. He received his B.A. in geology from the University of Rochester and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Rensselaer. His research interests include glacial geology and stratigraphy, water resources and groundwater hydrology. He founded the Professional M.S. and Water Resources graduate programs in the Geology Department in the 1970's, and was actively advising these until his retirement.
At present Bob serves as Principal Geologist with Spectra Environmental Group, Inc., an environmental geology and engineering consulting firm in Latham, NY. His current activities continue in water resources for towns, groundwater flow problems associated with mining and quarrying, and in providing expert testimony.
