Samuel Katz, Ph.D., has conducted research in seismic exploration, marine geophysics, high pressure and shock wave phenomena and elastic properties of geologic materials. Professor at Rensselaer from 1957 to 1985, Dr. Katz now is a faculty member at the Regents College Earth Sciences Department, State University of New York.
