Mission Statement

The Office of Minority Student Affairs will enhance its focus into the 21st century by:

  1. Becoming a teaching, learning, research and student centered operation capable of sustaining a graduation rate for minority and HEOP students above the institutional average;

  2. Providing pre-college, undergraduate and graduate students' support services to effectively meet the needs of entering and continuing students in ways that promote achievement (personal, professional and academic) and leadership; and

  3. Being dynamic and fluid in its ability to create new paradigms designed to close gaps between access to and performance in postsecondary institutions focusing on engineering and technologically-based professions.
