What Form Should I file Form 1040NR or Form 1040NR EZ?  What happens if you do not file a Tax Form?

Last updated: January 31, 2007

There can be immigration problems for failing to file tax forms. For example, applicants that are changing from F-1 to H-1B (working visa) could be asked by the USCIS to submit copies of previous years' income tax forms as part of their H-1B application. Persons applying for permanent residency (green cards) could be asked the same question.

The ISSS Office recommends that you don't take any unnecessary risks with your future File tax forms.
