Tax Form (1098-t)
If your 1098-t tax form was sent to your permanent address, you can
download a copy by going to: htp://www.1098-t.com
You will be required to enter your SSN and last name, then
the system will ask for the creation of a pin and other information for the
future access to the site. One of the links is to view the 1098-t form
online, and it can also be printed.

NOTICE FROM THE
PAYROLL OFFICE
The Payroll Office sent out W-2 forms for calendar year 2006 tax
reporting to your department. If you are in the U.S.
under J or F visa status and worked for Rensselaer
during calendar year 2006, you should have received this form. If you
have not check with your department
Many of you may also be receiving FORM 1042S (Foreign Persons U.S. Source
Income Subject to Withholding).
These forms have not yet been processed. By law, Rensselaer
has until March 15th 2007 to have these forms distributed. We are hoping to
have them out by the end of February 2007.
If you received any of the following payment types during calendar year
2006, please do not file your 2006 tax return until you receive this
additional form. You must include this form along with your W-2 in your tax
return
• Tax Treaty Benefits
• Living allowances
• Fellowship payments
• Prizes or Awards
