Bus Trip to Boston Reminder
You still have time to sign up for the RPI Employees Federal Credit Union all-day outing to Boston. Quincy Market to be exact. Get out the calendar and mark November 5.
For those unfamiliar with Quincy Market, it is shopping district in the heart of Boston. It is near the Boston Aquarium – well worth a visit – and it is a convenient jumping off point for seeing the many fascinating and often historic sights that make up the Massachusetts state capital.
Make your reservations now. The price is a mere $48.00 per person, and you can have cost deducted directly from your RPIEFCU account. Cancellations with full refund will be accepted up to October 14. You don’t even need to be a member of the RPIEFCU to come along.
For the exciting details, you may contact Jacqueline Farmer at (518) 276-8041. We all hope to see you November 5.
Dividend Declared
The Board of Directors has authorized a dividend of 0.25%, 0.2502% APY, for share balances below $10,000 and 0.50%, 0.5009% APY, for balances of $10,000 or more for the quarter ending September 30, 2011.
Competitive Loan Rates
Winter and the holidays will be upon us before long. It is an excellent time to consider the many things you could or should be doing, and if those things require a few extra dollars up front, the Credit Union may have just what your need.
We have the very popular Seasonal Special Loan, up to $1,500 for 12 months at 7%, and the equally popular Manager’s Special Loan, up to $3,000 for up to 18 months at just 7% to 8%! (Not everyone will qualify for the lower rate.) These loans are ideal for:
-
Debt consolidation. Get out from under all those expensive monthly credit card bills. Reduce your interest rate and lower your monthly payment.
- Self Improvement”. Take that self-improvement course you always have wanted to take.
- Holidays. The holidays will be here before you know it. Time to think about those special gifts.
-
Birthday / Wedding / Anniversary. A few extra funds may be just the thing to make that special event a perfect event.
-
Home improvement. Need to winterize your home this is a great time to get new storm doors or windows.
Be sure to look over our rates on vehicle loans, too. We have extended our 0.50% off vehicle loan interest rates through December. Some of the interest rates quoted at the car dealers may sound too good to be true. That is because they are. Consider negotiating the sale price for the car without special dealer-financing, and you may find the bottom-line cost less with the loan through us.
(All credit applications incur a $10.00 pass-through charge for processing a credit report.)
