Juniors
(Third-year students)

While a two-year refresh is not a requirement, students will benefit from beginning the third year at Rensselaer with an entirely new laptop computer, the best way to keep pace with rapidly changing technology. Note that each year the minimum specs for the laptop computer only apply to incoming students.

Other Students

Each year, every matriculated student is allowed to purchase one laptop computer through the Mobile Computing Program.
