Minimum System Requirements

Although we recommend obtaining your laptop through Rensselaer, you do have the option of bringing your own laptop. You are responsible for providing the software. Be sure to check with your curriculum adviser for software requirements.

The laptop must meet the following minimum requirements:

800MHz processor
128MB RAM
16GB hard drive
14" high-resolution active matrix display (1024 x 768)
DVD CD-ROM drive
Full complement of ports: USB, serial, parallel
3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive
10/100 Ethernet card and cable
56Kbs modem

PC card slot
