Symantec AntiVirus Installation Overview
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer with Windows XP Service Pack 2 you may experience problems downloading the installation executable file. To fix this Internet Explorer problem, follow these steps:
It is recommended that you schedule virus definition updates on a daily basis. Open the Symantec AntiVirus Client and select File-->Schedule Updates.... Click on the Schedule button to schedule virus definition updates.
Versions of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition prior to 10.0.1 automatically performs a virus scan whenever a user logs into the computer. The computer runs very slowly for several minutes until the virus scan is complete. To remove the login virus scan, click here to run or download the registry patch. The patch must be run for each account on the computer.
