Symantec AntiVirus Patch Installation Instructions
 Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.0.1

These instructions explain how to install the patch for Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.0.1. The patch only works for Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.0.1. It does not work for any other versions of Symantec (or Norton) AntiVirus. The patch is valid for Windows 2000/XP.

Instructions

  1. Download the patch program, SAV_Corporate_Edition_10.0.1.1007_AllWin_EN.msp (Download Here). The patch is also available at \\sambasrv.rpi.edu\software in the symantecantivirus\patches folder.
  2. Enter your RCS userID and password when prompted.
  3. You will be prompted to save the installation executable (SAV_Corporate_Edition_10.0.1.1007_AllWin_EN.msp) on your computer. Choose a folder and file name stored locally on your computer. Do not use a network folder.
  4. Double click on the patch file (SAV_Corporate_Edition_10.0.1.1007_AllWin_EN.msp) to start the installation.
  5. Follow the installation screens.
  6. When the update is complete, click on Finish in the InstallShield Wizard Completed window.
