| Student Research: Profiles
Felicia Tsai, junior
I’m a 3rd year undergraduate chemistry student. I have had a number of research projects with my advisor, Dr. Ryu, since I started in 2003. Our group is focused on polymer separations and adsorptions using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). My specific project looks at separating block-copolymers from homopolymer starting materials. (Block-copolymers are polymer chains consisting of alternating segments of 2 or more individual polymer materials (homopolymers) bonded together.) During the summer of 2006 I plan to pursue an independent research project on large scale separation and fractionation of Poly(ethylene glycol) for therapeutic applications.
