Trista Moore, junior
I have been working on the development of an environmentally-friendly chemical assay procedure for the analysis of specific toxins in water samples. The projected implementation of this reaction onto a microchip would provide a quick and easy method of monitoring these toxins on-site in natural waters. Overseen by Prof. Stenken, this hands-on laboratory experience has given me an opportunity to expand my knowledge of
chemistry and laboratory techniques, and increase my skill level with the allowance to explore the project and figure things out for myself. My experience has been invigorating and quite enjoyable.
