Conclusion

Using the WWW for review can be more effective than lecturing. These review materials on-line are readily available and can be linked to other topics. Professors tend not to trust the previous training of students and usually repeat material from previous courses, sometimes boring the good students. Moving review out of the course syllabus will make room for the main topics and use class time much more efficiently.
