Ice Beer originated a couple of hundred years ago in Germany. A frozen keg of beer was placed outside in the cold and allowed to freeze. The keg was then busted open and the frozen beer was slowly chipped away, exposing a portion of the beer which was not frozen. This liquid was called Ice Beer!
