This quick informational session is a first attempt (for me, at least) at providing information through the Web for other students to access and use.
In this (somewhat quick) tutorial, I have attempted to provide a basic structure for teaching simple gravity settling, and not go into such things as centrifugal sedimentation or ultracentrifugation or filtration, all of which can be used for solid-liquid separations.
I was trying to make this as simple as possible, so I broke the basic topic down into four subsections, plus a reference section.
