Fluidized Bed Incinerator
The fluidized bed incinerator (to the right of the picture) is used to reduce
the quantity of solids generated by the primary and secondary treatment
processes. The ash residue from the incinerator can be disposed more
economically than the sediment that was fed into the incinerator. The
incinerator reaches temperatures of 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. The incinerator has
a diameter of 18 feet-3 inches and is 44 feet-9 inches in height.
