A course in Chemical Process Control is required for most chemical engineers and was praised very highly at my university by environmental engineering students who took it. The web pages in this book are elementary but offer either introduction or review.

Process control can employ physics, chemistry, and biology to understand better how dynamic systems behave. The goal is adjusting desired operating conditions for safely and improved performance while satisfying environmental and product quality requirements. Although computers and excellent instruments have resulted in affordable and highly capable control systems, it can still be a daunting challenge to design the controls for complex and highly integrated modern plants.
