Here is the graph of how much of the feed solution was requested by the
computer each minute. If the CO2 production rate was
below the set point, the computer increased the rate of feed. The glucose
is the solid line with squares, and the Gatorade is the dotted line with
circles.
You can see that the feed rate was increased sooner, and to a higher value for
the Gatorade feed solution than for the glucose feed solution. This indicates
that the fermentation taking place on the Gatorade feed solution was either
too slow, or was simply not producing enough carbon dioxide.
