Overhead view of screens
This pictures gives you some idea of the proximity of the screens to one
another. The grate between the two screens can be lifted and this is how the
channel is maintenanced. This is also how the operators are able to bypass
either one of the screens, should one need maintenance. By placing a fly
gate in either the mechanical screen channel or the manual screen channel,
the total sewage flow will be diverted to the other screen. In this picture
both screens are in operation.
