Clarivacs Closeup
The Clarivac system is rather interesting in that no pump is actually
required to remove the sludge from the tank. The system instead siphons the
sludge out of the tank. The Clarivac is attached to a cable system and
continually moves back and forth through the final clarifier. Along the
outer edge of the Clarivac are pipes which lead out from the clarifier to
sludge troughs.
