Some definitions

Lag time - how long it takes the organisms to acclimate fully

Yield coefficient - grams of cells per gram of nutrient consumed

Maximum specific growth rate - the rate when there is excess nutrient

Death rate coefficient - assume that death is a first-order reaction.
