This document is the results of a study performed by Michael Sexton and Ruby
Swaikowski who are students of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The results
were obtained as part of the Freshwater Ecology class offered by RPI every
fall. The authors of this page are Jeremy Green and Michael Sexton. Jeremy is
also currently a student of RPI. This document was developed as a term project
for Environmental Engineering Systems, a course that Jeremy and Mike both
took in the fall of 1995.
This document is designed to educate you on different types of lakes and
their traits. It is also intended to show you what tests are necessary to
perform on a lake to determine its nature and also teach you how to perform
these tests yourself and show you their effectiveness.
