Mutagenic Effects

Studies conducted to determine the effects of fluoride on cells has been inconclusive. Studies have been done on plants, flies, and bacteria to determine if the genetic makeup of a cell can be altered by heavy doses of fluoride. Most studies, so far, have been unable to link fluoride to genetic defects (2).
