How to collect pages from the internet
-
Bring up the page in your browser.
-
Jot down or otherwise save the URL (address of the page).
-
Use the file menu of your internet browser to save the
source of the page. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, it will
automatically save the images.
-
Skip this step if you have already
saved the images using Internet Explorer. This step applies mainly to Netscape.
Click
on each image with your right mouse button. A menu will appear asking where
to save the image. From the source code of the page, find the name that
the author gave to this image. Assigning the same file name will make it
easier to put it in the correct place as you save it in your personal archive.
-
Edit the source to acknowledge the original address and
author.
-
This is the most convenient time to modify the page by
changing text or inserting your own ideas or comments.
-
Add links to relate the new page to your other pages.
