Marie Venaglia has worked in parish ministry for over 25 years. Prior to that, she taught theology at St. John the Baptist High School on Long Island. Marie is from Flushing in Queens, New York and did undergraduate work in theology and Spanish at St. John’s University. Her professional work has been focused on faith formation. She has worked with people of all ages. Marie has served as a consultant with the Children’s Television Workshop (popularly known as Sesame Street), worked with chaplains at the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, and taught with the Elderhostel Program. In recent years before coming to Troy, Marie worked in the Diocese of Rochester, spending much of her time in the Finger Lakes Region.
