Prior to joining Rensselaer, Dr. Lin headed Sandia National Laboratories’ multimillion-dollar research and development effort in photonic crystal devices, located in Albuquerque, N.M. He also directed a U.S. Department of Energy multi-laboratories initiative in Nano-Structural Photonics. He has authored 1 paper with >500 citations, 1 paper with >300 citations, 4 papers with >200 citations, and 4 papers with >100 citations. The research subjects include the quantum Hall effect, high temperature superconductivity, 2D and 3D photonic crystals, plasmonic nanostructures, and solar antireflection coating.
