| Career Opportunities in Biomedical Engineering Looking for answers? Some common questions have been sorted into categories and links to their answers have been found. If you are just browsing, check out the research and career information pages. It is highly recommended that undergraduates in BME obtain experience while still in school. Internships, summer undergraduate research programs, and co-ops are excellent opportunities that all BME students should consider! General Information: Devoted to questions (and resources) about Biomedical Engineering at RPI and BME in general. This project was undertaken in the Fall of 2002 by Elisa Sandvik, a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering at RPI, in coordination with the Career Development Center. Elisa used data collected by Amanda Hopkins (now a Rensselaer alum) from a student survey conducted in the Fall of 2001. The main goal of Elisa'a current project was to provide answers to common questions asked by students at Rensselaer and to serve as a starting place for BME students to investigate career opportunities. We hope it motivates and encourages other students to further explore the biomedical engineering field. Both Elisa's and Amanda's hard work is appreciated and serves as an invaluable resource. " Go the extra mile; it's never crowded there." --- Author Unknown |
