  • Riley Guide Minority Resources: These are resources specifically set up to meet the needs or address the interests of various groups, such as women, persons of varied nationalities or ethnic backgrounds.

  • Nemnet:  a resource organization committed to helping minority students looking for jobs in education. Services include online job postings, resume database, and career fairs for people of color. Free to job-seekers.       
  • Workplace diversity.com:  a career management site for "diversity talent," where job-seekers can search for jobs from employers who support diversity, take advantage of a job search agent, post your resume, read articles that will help you get ahead, and find insider company research. Free to job-seekers.        
  • Diversity Employment:  Diversity Employment.com is a multicultural employment resource offering both a job and resume database to job seekers.      
  • Civil Rights: This site lists fellowships, scholarships, internships and permanent positions geared towards the minority populations or working with minority groups.        
  • Minority Affairs:  Job seekers can access and search the Minority Affairs unique and up-to-date database of companies seeking minority applicants, and also have the option of researching the background, practices and policies of these companies.        
  • IT and Engineering Diversity Careers: Diversity Careers in IT and Engineering.       
  • The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering: as provided leadership and support for the national effort to increase the representation of successful African American, American Indian and Latino women and men in engineering and technology, math and science-based careers.        
  • Diversity Search:  a privately held e-recruiting network of premier niche sites that has been helping Fortune 1000 employers find top quality Women, Diversity and MBA candidates since 1996.       
  • Gem Fellowship: This partnership promotes the participation of underrepresented groups in post-graduate science and engineering education and the technical workforce.

  • Sponsors for Educated Opportunities (SEO):  the nation’s premier summer internship program for talented students of color leading to full-time job offers. Since its inception, SEO’s Career Program has placed over 4,000 Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, and Native American students in internships that lead to opportunities in exciting and rewarding careers in the most competitive industries worldwide.       
  • Minority Advertising Internships:  offers its members an intern from its program to promote minority hiring in advertising agencies.        
  • Minority Access Internship Program:  A National program that places talented undergraduate and graduate students with internships during the summer, fall and spring in the Federal Government and private sector.

Current Minority Student Internships ~ Fall 2007

  • INROADSdevelops and places talented youth in business and industry and prepares you for corporate and community leadership. Has 52 affiliates in 36 states and the District of Columbia. Includes both intensive instruction and career counseling for high school students and internships for college students. Requirements: African American, Hispanic, and Native American high school and college students with 3.0 or better grade averages.
  • SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunities): the nation’s premier summer internship program for talented students of color leading to full-time job offers.   • MAIP (Multicultural Advertising Internship Program): Junior, Seniors and graduate students who are: Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, African American, Native American, multiethnic (combination of any above).   • American Indian Science and Engineering Society:  The AISES Internship Program is a 10-week summer program that provides qualified AISES students with internship opportunities to explore potential federal service careers. Interns are provided a weekly stipend and local transportation allowance. (For Sophomores and above in the following areas: Engineering, All Sciences, Computer Science/Technology, Medical/Pre-Med, Health Policy, Psychology, Public Administration, Human Resources/Personnel, Accounting/Finance, Business, Graphic Design, Political Science, Logistics, Economics, and International Relations.
  • NASCAR Diversity internships:  Internship opportunities in: Broadcasting, Communications, Competition, Design, Engineering, Event Management, Fundraising, General Business, Licensing, Marketing, Media Services, Public Relations, Sales, Sports Marketing.
  • CBS Diversity Internships: CBS offers a multitude of internship opportunities in divisions throughout the company that are open to all those who apply, providing they meet the outlined criteria. CBS's internship programs span communications, marketing, IT, and other professional areas.
  • Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Internship programThe largest Hispanic internship program in the nation with a proven track record of nearly 7,000 participants over the last fifteen years, we feel that we can help make the “connection” that you are looking for.
  • Center for Disease Control - Office of Minority Health (OMH) - Training Opportunities:
    OMH supports training opportunities for qualified students at all levels of their education in order to increase the capacity of the organizations in which these students will work in the future. Whether you are looking for a summer internship or a year-long fellowship, you can gain valuable public health experience in one of the programs linked from this page. Also links to opportunities outside CDC and OMH.
  • People for the American Way:  We offer internships in several areas; some are available throughout the year. Part-time internships and flexible scheduling may be arranged and we are happy to work with students to arrange academic credit. Funding is available for a some paid internships. (Political and Legal)
  • Coca-Cola Internship: Undergraduate interns benefit from learning beyond the classroom when they gain hands-on experience with the world's leading beverage company. Interns who perform well have the opportunity to compete for available full-time positions upon graduation.
  • Environmental Conservation Internships: The purpose of the Conservation Careers Diversity Program is to provide opportunities to groups historically underrepresented in the field of conservation:  African, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, and Native Americans. Two paid opportunities are available each summer through the Conservation Careers Diversity Program

  • Native American Internship Opportunities: List from Fredonia college of opportunities targeted at Native American students.
  • Association for Women in Science Internships: The Association for Women in Science (AWIS) National Office has paid internships available year-round, each lasting 2-4 months.
  • Institute for Women's Policy research  Internship:  IWPR is committed to assisting the professional development of students and graduates interested in economic justice for women. IWPR's internship program is designed to provide participants with challenging work experiences under the guidance and supervision of researchers with extensive knowledge of women's policy issues and social science research
