Co-op Information for Chemical Engineering Majors

The advisor for Chemical Engineering co-op students is Professor B. Wayne Bequette (133 Ricketts). You should see him for academic planning before you go on your first work assignment. Please bring your current transcript (or degree progress report).

The chemical engineering curriculum is highly structured, with all courses offered once each year. Because of this structure, the one highly recommended sequence is to have a work assignment during the summer of the sophomore year and a full year after the junior year. This will allow a sequence of course offerings that is almost identical to the sequence listed in the course catalog.

If possible, you should take the normal program sequence detailed in the catalog.
