Biography

Mike is currently the Vice President of Business Development with IBM Corporate Headquarters and a visiting scholar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has Business Development responsibility at the Computational Center for Nanotechnology Innovations (CCNI) - a partnership between NYS, RPI and IBM. Mike also has corporate responsibility for IBM in the creation of new economic development through Industry, Academic and Government partnerships in High Performance Computing (HPC).

Prior to this Mike was Vice President of Marketing for IBM's Deep Computing Business. This team held P&L responsibility for the Worldwide Blue Gene Business and Global Marketing responsibility for IBM's complete HPC portfolio of Power and System X Servers, System/ISV Software, Services and OnDemand offerings. Previously, as Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Scientific and Technical Computing, Mike successfully formed and led the first IBM team to win the #1 ranking in the global supercomputing market.

Prior to joining IBM Mike held leadership roles with Cray Research Inc and the General Electric Company.
