Research
Students and faculty in the Biology department conduct research in diverse areas including Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Biophysics and Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, and Ecology and Evolution.
Model organisms include bacteria, yeast, flies, worms, zebrafish, and mice.
Such breadth in scientific inquiry naturally leads to an inherently interdisciplinary approach to modern biology.
