NanoBiotech 2008
*
“NanoBiotech 2008” will highlight cutting-edge R&D and explore commercialization opportunities of nanotechnology, biotechnology and related science and engineering fields. We have organized a multi-disciplinary conference that will offer networking opportunities to researchers from industry, government and academia; engineers; physicians; ethicists; environmental scientists; intellectual property practitioners; lawyers; business professionals; technology transfer specialists, policy makers and venture capitalists.

Department Snapshot

It is an exciting time to be in Rensselaer’s Biology Department. With excellent leadership, an outstanding faculty, dedicated staff, bright undergraduate and graduate students eager to explore, and modern facilities, there is no limit to what we may accomplish.

Undergraduates can major in Biology, Biochemistry & Biophysics, Bioinformatics & Molecular Biology, or even enroll in our combined B.S./M.D. program.

Graduate students can earn a Ph.D. in Biology or Biochemistry & Biophysics.

Currently, the department has approximately 300 undergraduate students, 28 graduate students, and 31 faculty members.
