Java Run Time Environment Daylight Saving Time Update

One provision of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 extends Daylight Saving Time (DST) by four weeks, beginning in 2007. Starting this year, DST will begin the second week of March and end the first week in November.

In order to avoid time-related problems, the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) on the computer used to access the Rensselaer Learning Management System (RPILMS), must be updated. The steps below explain how to update your Java Runtime Environment for extended daylight saving time on a Windows computer. A similar procedure will work on any computer.

Close the Command window by clicking the X in the upper right-hand corner of the window.
