To start up an application, move the mouse pointer to the appropriate application name on the menu and click the left mouse button once. We emphasize once because some applications are slower to load than others, so if you get impatient when nothing appears to happen, and click the application more than once, you will inevitably end up with multiple versions of the same application.
With that in mind, be patient after you select something from the Applications menu, and wait several moments for the application to load and start up. You can also watch the Session Manager window in the lower left corner of your screen, as it will often display a message (or messages) to indicate that an application is starting up.
If you click on the X Utilities option from the RCS Applications menu, another menu will appear, and you may left-click on the desired application. Left-click on the Exit option to close the X Utilities menu.
