Run to Remember

Team 550 - Integrity, Service, Excellence

The Run to Remember is an annual 5 kilometer charity road race held in remembrance of our nation's POWs and MIAs. The race is entirely organized by the cadets of Air Force ROTC Detachment 550 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

The Run to Remember was started in 1996 by Evan Valeri, a student at RPI. The race was originally held closer to Veteran’s Day, and its purpose was to honor those who have gone before us and who helped protect the freedom we enjoy today, specifically those who were prisoners of war or are missing in action.

The race continues today. The Run to Remember has grown even stronger over the years due to support from the community. Our goal is simple: to remember. We will never forget the sacrifice of these men and women. We invite you to join us in our remembrance.
