Choosing a minor is an opportunity for you to expand your knowledge base in a concentrated field of study beyond your major. There are many combinations of academic areas of study that work very well together to help enhance both your knowledge and your marketability with prospective employers or graduate schools. You can get to the information regarding minors for most curricula by first clicking on the school or curriculum itself. In some cases it will be necessary to also click on "undergraduate curricula" before arriving at the correct page. Discussing the choosing of a minor is an important factor for you and your advisor to consider.
Not All departments at Rensselaer offer a minor. The ones that do either present them by listing specific courses required or by providing a more general explanation of their policy. If you have an interest in a department that is not listed, you should contact the department chairperson's office.
