Diversity in Graduate Studies Visitation Program

As part of the overall year-round visit program, the Diversity in Graduate Studies (DIGS) Visitation Program continues Rensselaer’s commitment to cultural enrichment and academic excellence through the recruitment of a diverse student body.

The DIGS program is intended for individuals who wish to explore Rensselaer prior to applying for admission to a graduate program. DIGS applicants should complete a Graduate Student Visit Form and send in the required materials noted on the form. Funding assistance up to $300 may be available for individuals residing in or visiting the United States. Applicants to the visitation program will be contacted within five business days of receipt of the visit request form.

The DIGS program not only provides you with an opportunity to become familiar with our graduate programs. It also gives you a forum to let our faculty know about your interests, goals and accomplishments before you submit your formal application for graduate study.

Depending on availability, a DIGS visit may include:

  • Meeting with a member of the graduate admissions team
  • Meetings with professors of your choice, if available.
  • Lunch with a current graduate student
  • An opportunity to attend a seminar/class
  • A campus tour
