Our Newest Graduate Housing Option

The Rensselaer Graduate Community at City Station was established exclusively for Rensselaer graduate students, married students, and students with families. It’s located just off the southwestern edge of campus, consisting of two neighboring buildings—City Station West (for single students) and City Station South (for families and married Rensselaer students).

City Station South will open in August 2012, before classes begin. Full details on both City Station West and South are provided on the College Suites at City Station website.

For Single Students: City Station West

Units are fully furnished; three and four bedroom units, with private bedrooms and private bathrooms for each resident, in-room internet and cable at no extra cost; free shuttle service to and from RPI; 24-hour security monitoring; common study and gathering areas; dishwashers; air conditioning; an on-site exercise facility; free parking; and street level restaurants and retail stores. City Station South units, for married students and students with families, provide the same amenities, but are unfurnished, offer one, two, or three bedroom single-family units, and share exercise facilities with City Station West.

For Family and Married Student Housing: City Station South

City Station South is the only Rensselaer-affiliated housing for family and married students. Please contact Dennis Gornic for information on Rensselaer family and married housing, or visit the College Suites at City Station website.

Rensselaer single graduate students have limited on-campus residence opportunities.

The Rensselaer Graduate Community at City Station is near campus, but not within campus borders. To learn about the availability of on-campus housing units contact Residence Education at (518) 276-6284 or res_life@rpi.edu. Information is also available at Residence Life.

Students may also search the Off-Campus Housing Database, which provides access to available apartments near campus. Note that City Station is Rensselaer-affiliated housing, so it is not listed in the off-campus housing database.
