Send in your enrollment deposit by May 1, 2008.

To hold your place in the freshman class, you must:

Send a non-refundable deposit of $300 by check, money order, credit card postmarked on or before
May 1.

DO NOT SEND CASH. Send your enrollment deposit to Rensselaer Admissions along with the Enrollment Deposit Form (PDF). On the Deposit Form, be sure to include a passport size (1 ½” X 2”) head-and-shoulders photograph of yourself with your name printed on the back for your student record file.

Make the check or money order payable to “Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.” Please include your name and Rensselaer Identification Number (RIN) on the check, and mail to:

The Office of the First-Year Experience offers a comprehensive array of programs and initiatives for undergraduate students, as well as for parents and families, that begin before students arrive on campus and continue well beyond their first year.

The Office of the First-Year Experience sponsors the following programs and resources:

  • Student Orientation is designed to aid new students in their transition, integrate them into the life of the Rensselaer community, and introduce these students to the broad opportunities available at Rensselaer.
  • Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond is a comprehensive program full of skill-building opportunities, interest-specific activities, and interactive ways to connect with others.
  • Parents and Family Program provides resources and opportunities to get involved in the Rensselaer community.
  • Information and Personal Assistance Center (IPAC) is a resource to the campus community, providing directory and general information.
