AUXILIARY SERVICES
encompasses a multitude of major service areas at Rensselaer. They provide the student billing for housing and food services and manage the contract with Sodexho Marriott to provide board meals, catering and a la carte food service to the campus.
The Office of Conference Services and Houston Field House provides logistical support for various campus groups who sponsor summer conferences at Rensselaer and is responsible for the operation of the Houston Field House. In addition to the above activities, Auxiliary Services maintains contracts for food and beverage vending services and coin operated laundry service.
Auxiliary Services is also responsible for the long-term capital improvements for residence halls, apartments and dining halls. A Residence/Dining Hall Renewal Study was completed by Einhorn Yaffee Prescott, Architecture and Engineering P.C. in 1999. This plan calls for the renewal of all facilities over an extended time period. A new residence, Barton Hall, opened in the summer of 2000.
