This Macintosh computer site on the first floor is operated
cooperatively by the Folsom Library
and ACS. There are 13 Power Mac 7200/120s. Each has a CD drive. There are
zip drives attached to three machines.
The Mac systems are connected to an AppleShare local area network that allows software distribution from a central file server similar to the one in the Sage Macintosh Laboratory. The LAN is connected to the campus internet.
Software includes Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Photoshop 3.0.5, PageMaker 6.0, PageMill 2.0, Adobe Acrobat 3.0, Netscape Gold, and Fetch.
Two LaserWriters provide printing facilities at this location.
These machines are available whenever the library is open. You may use the campus telephone in this facility to call the VCC Help Desk at extension 7777, if you have questions.
